New blog look

Well it didn't take long for me to get tired of my blog redesign. I guess I get bored easily. So anyway I'd been wanting to do a pink/green color scheme for a while and with spring on its way I figured it's as good a time as any! I made the cupcakes and other sweets using a font called DB Love Pastries which I think I got as a freebie from Scrap n Fonts a while back. Cute huh?? Makes me hungry for cupcakes.

edited to add:
I used this site to learn how to put my signature after each post without having to do it in the formatting section. This way if I switch my blog colors I can just fix the signature link and it will match up on all of my posts, old and new.

Parade mini book

I have a very messy room (still!) so I haven't made anything in the past week. So, I decided to post this little book I made a while back. I used an old board book that was headed for Goodwill. I covered it with patterned paper and photos and added a title with stickers (KI Memories) and stamps (Hero Arts). My kids loved it.

Hello Kitty Valentine

I'm posting this remotely. Our power is out and I hate being without power. No heat, no water, no internet. It's not civilized, I tell ya. So the kids and I are holed up at the Holiday Inn and I'm posting this from my laptop. Which is why I didn't use my regular watermark-I don't have it stored on this computer.

Anyway Sammy and I made this for the girls at her dance class. Luckily there are only four kids in her class (including her) so we didn't have to make many. For the goodies, we put in a little stationary kit in a heart shaped box (walmart special) and an eraser. I didn't want to put candy in it-I prefer that people don't give my kids candy so I don't want to be a hypocrite and give their kids candy. Anyway I got the pattern for this from Andrea Walford's blog and it was so easy. Sammy cut the Hello Kitty shapes from the cricut and I helped her glue them together (she is RECKLESS with a bottle of glue-if I left her to do it by herself there would be glue on the top, bottom and sides of it. And since I use Tombow Mono Multi which dries tacky, that makes quite a mess.) So anyway we thought they came out pretty cute.

Cardstock: SU Rose Romance(I think), Basic Black, Real Red. Bazzill pink, GP white, yellow unknown
Patterned Paper: Imaginisce
Punches: Martha Stewart Lace edge punch and SU tab punch
Ribbon: unknown (possibly CTMH)
Hello Kitty Greetings cricut cartridge
Stampin' Dimensionals
Copic Spica glitter pen (for the words)
Basic Grey magnetic closure (probably overkill for this project but I have had these for years and never even cracked open the package until today.)

Sammy's classmates loved them.

Another flower card

This is the card I made for Siobhan when I sent her the prize for the challenge I had. I was waiting for her to get the pkg and she did a long time ago-I just kept forgetting to post it. I'm posting it now since I've been too busy **lazy** the past week to make something new.

Copic Markers
Memento Ink (brown-can't remember the real name of it)
Gina K white cardstock
Patterned paper
Nestabilities (circle and scalloped circle)
Tim Holtz distress ink
Clear dewdrop (Robin's Nest) colored with a copic marker
Circle punches
I got the sketch from the Mojo Monday blog.
